Yesterday, I spent all day still catching up on the recent past. With that, I cleaned out one of my desk drawers. It was amazing the amount of camouflaged dirt and debris that had somehow gotten under notepads, tape, trays, scissors, stapler, etc...That debris in the corners was especially difficult to clean. Reminds me of our lives. Sometimes a huge amount of crud slips in unawares. Being productive, the useful things are still there and usable but underneath, we are not clean and not all that we should be. Maybe we are easily irritated, disgruntled, complaining, frustrated, and more. So let's clean the crud out today and be content, encouraging, happy, and loving to others. Let's be all we can be for the Lord and be ready to meet Him! ...Be really beautiful inside and not just outside! After all, it is "the little foxes that spoil the vine."

Record-Breaking Month at Church Food Pantry!
Oh my! This has been the largest volunteer month at our church food pantry (South China Grove Church of God). They serviced 2071 folks with 727 being children. We almost ran out of food so please pray for an increase in our resources so that we may serve even more. May God bless our church, volunteers, and, indeed, those that need the food. May special blessings of jobs and other provisions come to their doors today from our mighty Provider, Jesus Christ! (Praise the Lord for 13,025 pounds of food.)

Why Wait Any Longer?
You that are aging, don't wait too late to fully use the gifts that God has given you. Why wait any longer? Even Abraham and Sarah became the parents of many nations in their twilight years. So "Nothing is impossible with God" but we must use what we have and not hide it under a bushel. Just see what the Lord will do when you put forth the effort! Try it...use it...just bloom.

Don't Let Someone's Lust Take Advantage of Your Love
Girls: Please don't let someone's lust take advantage of your love. Don't get fooled by your own innocence and his flattery and fall into a trap.....the scars may never heal. Matter of fact, he will lose respect for you, make it seem your fault, make false assumptions about you and your intentions and call you a "Jezabel" even when your heart is pure. Then he will be on his merry way shining like the stars. Girls.....just focus on doing the Lord's will and then God will open the right doors in due time. Then, you will shine like the Sun because you will be a reflection of the SON. But, don't glory in the open doors or yourself.....ONLY glory in the Lord! Seek God first! Stay humble before God and He will use you mightily!

Closest Thing to an Idol as a Teen
Never had any idols as a teen or an adult but singers that impressed my life as a 16-year-old girl singing "The Lighthouse"...were The Hinsons...I would lay awake at night while praying for the Holy Spirit and listening to the Black Mountain Gospel radio station! Thank you, Ronny Hinson, for the selfie and even MORE for touching my life as a teen!

Independence Day!
Independence Day for me means RETIRED from nursing, not the church! Yes! I made it and am so thankful for freedom on so many levels...Nationally, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually! Ready to sail into the "wild blue yonder" of life now...wherever that takes me! Lots of adventures are planned but I will enjoy being around home for a while with a few close friends and the church too! At any rate, here's to the future!

Recently, on May 22, 2022, we had a mission service for my 4th year Anniversary of being pastor at Southside Church of God. After a great church effort, we were so blessed to be able to minister to every missionary in the Church of God. We were SO very honored that our World Missions Director, Dr. David Griffis was able to come and speak to us. WOW! What a message did he bring to us from the Lord that day! Mike and David Looney of The Looney Brothers also honored us with their amazing and anointed singing. It could NOT have been a better day within the church walls!
But, after reviewing this blog today, it ignited a new flame of fire within my soul to begin ministry again "outside of the box" and walls of the church building. May I once again start this blog and add to ministry to reach out to the world far and wide and minister to those that are bound and need to be free in the Name of Jesus Christ. May I reach and win those that the Lord will entrust into my care starting as soon as I get a few more things in place...which will not be long.
The world vision is so clear and always has been since age 16. The Word of the Lord says that He will give us the heathen for our inheritance. My prayer is, "Lord, guide me and grant that to me as I move forward." Yes and Amen!
God bless you today is my prayer!
So, the past few years have brought very different challenges that have prevented me from keeping this blog updated. My husband, Grady Ross, Jr., was diagnosed with Dementia and my time was spent on my job as a Faith Community Health Ministry Nurse and a Pastor of Southside Church of God, all while taking care of him as well as managing all household and personal matters. You can see that time was limited.
On March 3, 2022, this man went home to meet the Lord that he had longed to see for so long. During the last 4-6 months of his life, he saw episodes of Heaven so many times. Those times are noted on my Facebook page. Feel free to browse the page.
Just before he took his final place in the bed at Hospice House, he was sitting in a chair next to me. The last encounter that he and I had while he was able to understand at that moment, was a prayer. He took my arm and looked me straight into the eyes and started moving his mouth and praying for me. I will never forget it. How awesome is it that he would interact with me through a prayer for the last encounter! Did this man of few words touch my heart? ...Yes, oh yes! It will be a memory etched in my mind forever! Here's to my Grady...
