Stand Firm

What do you do when life doesn’t work? When you can’t pay a bill or your relationships unravel? How do you handle the disappointments of your heart? Isn’t it easy to tell others that God is all that they need and He will come through for them but then not believe it for yourself? The truth is that our flesh and heart often fail. We forget. We struggle. And yes, sometimes we even pout. But God remains true to His character regardless of our wishy-washy faith. I challenge you to stand on the Rock today and let Him be the source for all your needs!

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever." Psalms 73:26

Rejection

Do you find it difficult to share with the people that the world rejects? While Christ was here on earth, He spent His time loving people that others had forgotten. Just as His unbiased love took Him to the cross for everyone’s sin, He wants us to impart the same type of love to those we come in contact with. Don’t let someone’s social status, appearance or their past keep you from extending a hand of love. Ask the Lord to help you lay down fears and misconceptions and see each person through eyes of love.

"For there is no respect of persons with God." Romans 2:11

Seek The Lord

"Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore."
When we look to ourselves for strength to overcome any given situations, we will find failure. Human strength has no place in spiritual warfare. It is worthless and until we are able to face that fact we will find ourselves failing over and over again. It is only when we look to the Lord and ask for His strength that we can find victory in all of life’s circumstances. It is a simple act, but one which we resist so much. Let us agree to “seek His face always,” to live in His presence, so that we will always look to Him in trials and struggles and seek His strength. Victory will be ours!

Remain Steadfast

If someone gave you a piece of paper and said, “Write down your greatest needs,” what would you write? Would you write a few short sentences, or would you fill the entire page with a huge list of items?

As unique as each person’s needs may be, if you truly look inside your heart, chances are you’ll discover your deepest needs are love, significance, and acceptance. These needs are not easily met. Even your own family can fail in giving you the encouraging positive feedback that you need. So where do you go to fill your emotional void?

Praise God we have a loving heavenly Father who is more than enough to meet our deepest needs. Be encouraged! God’s acceptance, approval, and love are all you need. Even though others may never understand the many benefits and blessings of a Christian walk, you know the truth! Remain steadfast in your walk, so when He returns, you’ll be standing on the right side of the door that leads to eternal life!
